16/6/2009: New Service "Visa Cash Back" for the ATEbank Visa Card Holders
Starting from 16-6-2009, ATEbank offers its Visa credit card holders the new service "Visa cash back".
"Visa Cash back" is a secure, flexible and quick way for cash withdrawals without using an ATM. Now the ATEbank Visa card holders can combine their purchases with cash withdrawals up to €50 per day, at any store where there is the cash back sign.
Specifically, when the customer chooses to make his / her purchases with ATEbank Visa credit cards, he / she can ask from the cashier the amount of cash he / she wants, €10 - €50 daily per card. This amount, which appears separately at his / her statement, is repaid according to the purchase transaction terms, i.e. with up to 50 days interest - free period and free of extra charges.
The benefits for the credit card holder are:
- He / she doesn't need to look for an ATΜ when he / she needs a small amount of money
- The places where he / she can withdraw cash are broadened
- He / she gains time by combining two transactions in one - purchases and cash withdrawal
- Cash withdrawal in a store is secure, easy and flexible
- He / she benefits from an up to 50 days interest - free period, like with his / her purchases with credit card, with no extra cash advance fees.
The "Visa cash back" service is expanding gradually in super markets and department stores all over Greece. The ATEbank Visa owners can use the service at any store the "Visa cash back" sign at the store window, like the corporate branches of ΑΒ Vassilopoulos all over Greece.
20/3/2009: Credit Cards Interest Rate Reduction by ATEbank
ΑΤΕbank reduces its credit cards interest rates up to 0.25%
The new interest rates range between 13.90% and 16.45%, while the balance transfer program for credit cards remains in 5.90% until full payment.
The new rates are effective from the 3rd of April 2009.

14/8/2008: New Credit Card Rates
ATECards S.A. announces that after the recent increase of the European Central Bank rate, the rates for purchases and cash advance of the Credit Cards it issues, carries and runs on behalf of ATEbank, readjusts as following: for Silver & Electron cards at 16,20% and 16,70% respectively and for Gold cards at 15,95% and 16,45%. The rates for cardholders who get their payroll through ATEbank are 1,3 units lower than the aforementioned.
The new rates are among market's best.
The credit card balance transfer rate remains 4,75% until full payment and remains the best in market.
All rates do not include 0,6%, contribution of law Ν.128/75.
The new rates will be effective from 1/10/2008
